Rohm and Haas Company creates a better onboarding experience
The Rohm and Haas Corporate Staffing department wanted to provide local Human Resources representatives with an onboarding experience that focused on engaging employees from day one.
The Corporate Staffing department wanted to shift from a transactional to a more
strategic focus. They zeroed in on
the first-day experience as the starting place for this transformation. context
and Rohm and Haas worked together to develop an orientation toolkit that supported
local Human Resources representatives—and, for the first time, business
leaders. This toolkit equipped the presenters to comfortably deliver consistent
messages about the company's history, mission, strategy, and multiple businesses
and markets, with an intentional allowance for local customization.
Human
Resources representatives felt they now had the necessary support to deliver
a first-day experience that immediately connected each new employee to the company,
to his or her business, and to his or her individual work site.
