IMS Health relaunches global knowledge management tool
When IMS Health relaunched ARC (Access, Reach Collaboration), an enterprisewide knowledge management tool, they decided to use a simple Flash video to get the word out about how this tool could help IMS Health consultants leverage the experience of their colleagues and coordinate more easily with global project teams.
IMS Health was working on this communication tool with their longtime partner, The
Dakota Group. Dakota brought in context to manage the writing. Working
directly with IMS's operations manager of Consulting & Services, context developed
copy to succinctly and powerfully convey why IMS consultants would want to turn
to this time saving tool.
Since implementation, use of the tool has doubled. Consultants now have the
knowledge, materials, and connections to quickly generate award-winning proposals,
effectively develop business development and project plans without reinventing
the wheel, and identify and learn from the best minds in specific practice areas.
